GOD'S ECONOMY VS. MAN'S: What is disposable to man is valuable to God
What is valuable to man is disposable to God...
Already discounted - like trash tossed into the incinerator, not by the enemy of our soul, but by those primly perched upon their cushioned pews.
I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
(Revelation 2:9)
Believing they are the chosen ones, reveling in their blessed abundance - they build up their churchs, like storehouses to keep it all inside.
And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
(Luke 12:16-27)
They congratulate themselves for their generosity to the work of God, patting each other on the back for their sizeable contributions to a worthy charity half way around the world as they sidestep the dishelved man on the sidewalk outside their church in need of a hand - a firm handshake of acknowledgement will do, will deliver him from the clutches of the LYER who condemns him with shame and unworthiness.
Instead he receives only confirmation, dismissed by the "saints" who look right through him, not worth even a glance...
He retreats back into the shadows wondering why he even tried to venture out into the light.
My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.
(James 2:1)
Forgive us Father - your precious Son shed His blood to save us from the fire. Yet we blithely toss aside those who need to know of your saving grace, seemingly unconcerned that the flames of hell are licking at their heels even as we partner with Satan in heaping coals of condemnation on their heads - for they just aren't righteous enough to fellowship with us.
Considering ourselves safe even as we are being consumed, convinced that the heat we feel is the Holy Spirit confirming our righteousness when He is actually condemning our "righteousness."
Please God, help us to retrieve those precious branches tossed aside, as we ourselves are sticks pulled from the fire by your gracious hand, may we not pull back from the flames - but commit to reaching in even if we must get burned to save our brothers and sisters from the clutches of the wicked one.

"He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor."
1 Samuel 2:8
Its hard to perceive truth in a world of delusion.
Its hard to remember the truth in a world full of lies.
It's hard to hear the still small voice of gentleness & reason in a world of profane vulgarity.
Help us Lord to receive what You reveal - to perceive Your truth
Help us Lord to remember - to help one another remember, WHO WE ARE IN YOU - To be who we were created to be, to do what you created us to do. Even as we are bombarded by condemnation from inside and out, give us confidence in your faithfulness to finish what you have begun in us. You define ME - not my insecurities, disabilities, emotions, tumultuous thoughts...
Help us to hear, to truly tune in - to listen for Your still small voice. To listen for your encouragement and to the to hear even the unspoken cries of those in pain, in need - that we may voice your encouragement and speak your truth to them.
The world says we are poor and therefore losers - but we know we are rich and victorious.
The world says we are are weak and vulnerable - but we know we are strong and secure in You
